Message from the Commander – November 2020

To:  All Members with E-Mail addresses

From:  Bob Carnagey – Commander Bob Carnagey

Due to the recent spike in the Covid 19 Virus in Northwest Indiana we are canceling our meeting scheduled for November 5th.  There are 3 American Legion Post in our area, that we are aware of, that have had an outbreak of this virus during the past month – East Chicago, Griffith and Cedar Lake.  One chapter having had one of their bartenders die from the virus that was potentially exposed at their Post.  This is serious as the major of our member are compromised due to their physical condition.

Things to remember:

  1. Wear a mask when in out in public
  2. Watch social distancing
  3. Wash your hands often
  4. If you are feeling sick or ill – stay home

You can get you flu shot at Adam Benjamin Clinic in Crown Point if you have not done so already.  You can also get the flu shot at Jesse Brown.
