DAV National Adjutant Letter -Feb23,2018

Dear DAV Staff and Leaders,

Here at DAV, we are committed to empowering veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. We have a life-changing mission but we can only provide our services and support if the men and women who served know about them.

In an effort to assist our members in sharing this critical message, DAV has released a video aimed at highlighting the different ways DAV provides support.

It is difficult to condense all the great work DAV does for veterans in just over three and a half minutes, but this video touches on the multitude of services we offer—from claims assistance and advocacy efforts to employment support and our voluntary services programs.

We believe this video will be an invaluable resource for illustrating how DAV helps our nation keep its promises to the men and women who served, and we hope the distribution will help your local efforts to recruit new members, donors and volunteers.

The video is available to view at www.dav.org/learn-more/about-dav/.  Click on the YouTube link at the bottom of the page to view it or click on “Download video” text to download a digital file.  I encourage you to familiarize yourself with it, share it, and use it in presentations and community events at which you are invited to participate.

You can increase on the impact of the video by sharing it on your personal social media pages. When you post the video on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, you are helping us share DAV’s nearly century-old message of hope and service. Please tag your social media posts with #KeepthePromise.

We hope this insight into how DAV supports veterans and their families will inspire greater support for the men and women who served.

If you have any questions, please email [email protected].

With sincere gratitude for your service,

MARC BURGESS
DAV National Adjutant/CEO
